About Derek Dewan

An experienced executive, Derek Dewan spent 15 years leading MPS Group, Inc., and its predecessor, AccuStaff Incorporated, as Chief Executive Officer. He initially served AccuStaff as an advisor through PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent 16 years as a Certified Public Accountant and achieved Partner status before the age of 30. In his role as CEO of AccuStaff, which became MPS Group in 2001, he dedicated himself to growing the firm through an initial public stock offering, organic growth, and numerous acquisitions nationwide and internationally. MPS Group, Inc. was listed on the NYSE:Euronext and was ranked in the Fortune 1000. In 2009, Derek Dewan facilitated the sale of the company to Adecco Group for $1.3 billion.

A longtime Florida resident, Derek Dewan prepared for his professional life by studying Accounting at the University of South Florida, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. Derek Dewan actively participates in his community, including serving on the Board of Trustees for the Public Library. A father of two, he also supports organizations connected with the universities his daughters attend, including the Parents Campaign Philanthropy Board of The George Washington University, the Parent Leadership Council at Southern Methodist University, and the Cox School of Business Executive Board at Southern Methodist University. In addition, Mr. Dewan contributes his time as a member of the Professional Advisory Board for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He previously participated in the planning for the 2005 Super Bowl as a member of the Host Committee.

Beyond his professional and community-oriented endeavors, Mr. Dewan enjoys spending time with his family and traveling when possible. He also enjoys outdoor pursuits such as hunting, running, and snow skiing.
